Wisata Trang An - Ninh Binh Day Trip

We’ll start our adventure to Trang An at 7:00 AM when we pick you up at your hotel by air conditioned car. Of course, a hearty breakfast comes first--a delicious Hanoian delicacy called "Bún Chả" made popular when celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain treated American President Barack Obama during his state visit to Vietnam. A Bún Chả with Cà Phê sữa đá is what we call the breakfast of champs and it's sure to make your two-hour drive to Ninh Binh a little more fun.

10:30 - 11:00 AM

Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, you’ll first visit Hoa Lu ancient Town. This picturesque little fort surrounded by mountains and rivers was once the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries, during the reign of the Đinh and the Lê dynasties. After a brief history lesson here and plenty of stunning photo opportunities, we’ll continue towards our next stop on the itinerary, the homestay in Tam Coc.

From here, we’ll grab a bicycle and ride around the villages and rice fields through peaceful countryside paths. If riding a bicycle is not your thing, don't worry, there are other options such as motorbike and car. We’ll stop by Linh Coc cave and explore as far as our flashlights allow us to, and then head out and explore a small temple.

After working up an appetite from all that cycling, we will have a delicious family-style lunch with a host family who are kind enough to invite us to their home.

After our meal, it’s time to explore the famous and stunning Tam Coc grottoes. These caves formed inside the limestone monoliths can only be seen in one way, by boat. We’ll be boarding a traditional wooden sampan to cruise through these mountain caves and floating paddy fields. What makes this experience extra special is that the boat rower pedals the oars with her feet! This special technique is used to ease the pressure on her back and arms--it’s an extremely unique sight. The sounds of the oars hitting the water surface, the chirping birds all around and the stunning sceneries make the moment perfect.

After a calm end to the tour, we will get ready to head back to the city and drive you to your hotel by private car.
